Difference between online poker and live poker

Recommended Posts

Here are a few distinctions:

  • Tells: You can try to read a player in real time based on his body language. Your sole reading options in online poker are the player's bet size and playing ranges.
  • Speed: The number of hands each hour is far higher online than in person.
  • Calculations: When playing online poker, you may see your exact bet and stack sizes.
  • Software: When playing poker online, you can use programs to help you by calculating the statistics of your opponents. Nothing like that is useful in real life.

Playing multiple games simultaneously is simple when playing online, but it's not possible when playing live poker.
