Fruit Blaze Review

One of the new games coming from NetEnt, Fruit Blaze is a slot machine with a classic feel to it, but that’s only going to apply to its design. It’s not the case with its features or the game area, both of which modern in the way they were thought up. There will be ways to win that can expand, and a number of other cool options for you to explore. More on those below.

Fruit Blaze is going to give you 4x3 reels and 81 ways to win, to start with. You get wilds with multipliers that can seriously boost wins, and there are also scatters, triggering free spins with up to 1,296 ways to win active. Ultimately, you’re looking at a top jackpot that’s worth 4,065x the stake, a fair amount in a slot machine that has a 96.18% RTP.

Fruit Blaze Betting and Prizes

A wager placed in Fruit Blaze will require a minimum of $0.20 per spin, but it could go quite a bit higher than that, even up to $200. The line bet appears to be somewhere between $0.01 and $10 (with 20 lines used for betting, even though you get a lot more as you play).

The game’s best prizes are paid out by the wild symbol, and could bring you up to 1,000x the stake on each way to win/line where this happens. At most, in a single round, you could claim rewards of up to 4,065x the stake.

Long-term, we’re expecting this to be a fair option, with a 96.18% Return to Player (about average these days).

Fruit Blaze Slot Features

There is some serious potential to win in this game, and it comes both through the reel expansion mechanic of the free spins, and the multipliers applied by the wilds.

First, a word about the Wild symbol, showing a light blue crown. Each substitute symbol that is helping you out with a combo, will boost the win by 2x. Get several wilds together, and you could have up to 16x combined multipliers from them. These are also the symbols that you need to form their own wins, since four of them on a line will pay 1,000x the stake.

Keep an eye out for the Four-Leaf Clover, the slot’s scatter. Should three or four of these land at the same time, you’re going to get 10 or 14 free spins, respectively. If you Gamble for it, you can get up to 16 rounds.

The extra feature is the ability of the reels to expand in this mode, giving you up to 1,296 ways to win (up from 81 of the base game). The game area can go from 4x3 reels, to 4x6 reels. The number of free spins determines how many new rows are added, and to get the most out of this, you need to use the Gamble feature and get the maximum of 16 free spins.

Don’t fret though, you can still max out the game area as you play. Landing new sets of 3-4 scatters will add 5 more free spins, and will give the game area a boost by 1-2 rows.

Theme & Design

A slot machine that borrows heavily from the classics, Fruit Blaze is nonetheless quite a bit different from those older games. It doesn’t look bad either, which is a big plus for it. The fruits you’re about to see look like they’re actually handcrafted, so it’s not a natural look they’re going for. If anything, they look like jewelry.

That list of symbols gives you the Crown Multiplier Wild, the Four-Leaf Clover scatter, along with Regular Crowns, Sevens, Watermelons, Grapes, Plums, Oranges, Lemons, Cherries, and Bells.

Verdict

Overall, I found it to be an interesting game. There are multipliers, you can expand the game area, there are decent prizes to claim, so the slot has a lot to offer. I’m far less excited about the fruit theme, but most people don’t care that much about it, if the rest of the game is fun.
