Theme And Graphics
Tombstone RIP is a lot grittier than your average slot set in the wild west. Nolimit City is known for being over the top when it comes to the design of its games. Mental took things a bit far in its depiction of an asylum, and we think the images of hanging people (even if they are wanted Dead or Alive) in Tombstone is a bit much.

Still, the Nolimit City design has done a great job in the design of its characters and the overall aesthetic of the game. There’s no doubt that it’s a great-looking game but maybe they could tone things down a little.

Tombstone RIP RTP And Variance
The Tombstone RIP RTP is variable. Depending on where you play this slot, the payout percentage can be either 94.08% or 96.08%.

In terms of volatility, it is considered “insane”. Normally, a highly volatile slot has a win rate of about 20% but this slot’s is 9.08% - which seems about right, considering the max win is 300,000x.

How To Win
Nolimit City’s Tombstone RIP slot takes place on a set of five reels laid out in a 2-3-3-3-1 format. So, it begins with 108 ways to win, but they can increase due to the xSplit feature.

The high-paying symbols are the characters – the most generous of which is El Gordo, who pays out 4x for a five-of-a-kind combination. The lower paying symbols are the 10 through A poker ranks, which award top prizes of .5x to .9x.

This doesn’t sound like very much, especially for a game with “extreme volatility” – but, there are a number of features that can boost your overall winning potential.

XFeatures In Tombstone RIP
As is the case with most Nolimit City slots, there are plenty xFeatures in its Tombstone RIP demo:

  • xNudge Wild: there are stacked wild symbols that can appear on the reels and, whenever they land, they will be nudged until they are fully visible. For every nudge, the multiplier attached to the wild will increase.
  • Splitting Wilds: when a Reel Split Wild appears on the middle three years, it (and all symbols on the same reel) will split into two

Tombstone RIP Free Spins
When you land three scatters, you’ll trigger the Tombstone RIP free spins bonus. You can upgrade from Hang ‘em High Free Spins to Boothill Free Spins by landing more scatters from within the bonus.

Hang’em High Free Spins
Here, you’ll get 8 free spins during which a win multiplier will be applied to every payout. This increases every time a certain symbol appears:

  • Regular Wilds: x1 increase
  • Reel Split Wilds: x2 increase
  • xNudge Wilds: 1x to x3

If you land the Boothill Scatter on the last reel, you’ll trigger the upgraded free spins round.

Boothill Free Spins
During this bonus, the same increasing multiplier applies to all wins. The main difference is that any cowboy symbols that appear on the last reel will transform all other symbols of that type into wilds.

There is also a random multiplier from x5 to x99 that will be applied to a random Cowboy symbol. This can make for some very impressive payouts.

Tombstone RIP Slot Review
Tombstone RIP is another high-octane game from Nolimit City that brings players all sorts of opportunity to win great prizes. But remember – it’s a highly volatile slot, so you should make sure you’ve got a bankroll that will sustain itself while playing.

The Good
Like all Nolimit City slots, the Tombstone RIP demo is a great-looking game. The design is well thought-out, especially with the question that you have to answer before you enter.

We also like the xFeatures. They aren’t used in a totally different way to how they appear in other Nolimit City games, but they still keep the gameplay entertaining and allow you to hit great wins in the base game as well as the free spins round.

The Bad and The Ugly
As we mentioned earlier, the theme might be considered a little bit too violent by some players. It is quite graphic when you see the characters being hanged, so that’s something might turn some players off.

Is It Worth a Spin?
There hasn’t been a recent release from Nolimit City that we haven’t recommend – and, this game isn’t an exception. The Tombstone RIP free slot demo is worth a go, especially if you’re after a high variance experience with big winning potential.
